Pacific Canada: Coast & Mountains Winter Wonder

Day 1 - Vancouver

On arrival to Vancouver make your own way downtown to your chosen hotel.

Day 2 - Free day in Vancouver

Spend the day exploring Vancouver and all this wonderful city has to offer. Consider a visit to Granville Island, one of the city's premier foodie destinations with it's numerous independent eateries and two breweries. Or hire a bike to cycle round the seawall, the world's longest uninterrupted pathway. With scenic viewpoints and beachfront cafes along the way, it's a short cycle that could easily take you all day!

Day 3 - Vancouver to Whistler

Pick up your hire car and drive the famous 'Sea to Sky Highway' up to Whistler. Along the way consider a stop in Brackendale, home to one of North America's largest gatherings of wintering Bald Eagles. These iconic birds can easily be viewed throughout winter at several spots in the town.

Day 4-6 - Whistler

Nestled in the stunning setting of the majestic Coastal Mountain range, Whistler is North America’s largest ski resort. Whistler Blackcomb has two incredible mountains where you can enjoy epic world-class skiing and snowboarding. Whistler offers so much more than you could ask for from a ski resort! If you have a passion for skiing or snowboarding and a love of après, dining and nightlife, Whistler is the perfect choice for you. You'll enjoy all this against the backdrop of some of the most spectacular views you've ever seen in your life.

Day 7 - Whistler to Tofino

Follow the Sea to Sky highway back down to the ocean and then catch a ferry from Horseshoe Bay over to Vancouver Island. The journey across Vancouver Island, winding through ancient rainforest and provincial parks to the rugged coastal town of Tofino.

Day 8 - 10 - Tofino

Spend time in the relaxed Clayoquot Sound town of Tofino. With a magnitude of activities to choose from, you won't struggle to fill each day up! Spend your time exploring lakes, inlets and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. November through to February is the famous 'storm watching' season in Tofino. Choose a cosy fireside in one of the many restaurants and hotels and watch the giant swells and lashing waves along the coast of this magnificent island.

Day 11 Tofino to Vancouver Airport

Leave Tofino behind and join the ferry from Nanaimo to Tsawwassen. Spend some time buying last minute souvenirs before heading to the airport for your flight home.
