Sun Peaks Ski Holidays
Big slopes and big snow...without the big crowds!
Sun Peaks is Canada's biggest ski resort after Whistler, but the town feels small and friendly. The slopes are so quiet and have great terrain if you're an intermediate skier. Plus, it's a lot less chilly than the Canadian Rockies resorts but you still get the fine, fluffy powder!

Your Sun Peaks Ski Holiday
Sun Peaks Ski Resort is located in the heart of British Columbia, a region that is famous for its light, dry powder conditions and that is blessed with 6 meters of snow annually. Sun Peaks is only a 45-minute drive from Kamloops and less than an hour by air from Vancouver, as well as being easily accessible from Calgary and Edmonton airports. The resort is Canada's second largest ski area with over 4,270 acres spread across three skiable peaks. Each mountain is easily accessible from the ski-through village, letting you ski all three peaks in the same day or stick to the mountain that you love the most. The ski-in, ski-out resort means you can ski straight to the chairlifts from your hotel in less than 60 seconds!
Offering events each week and special festivities throughout the year, Sun Peaks guarantees you'll have plenty of things to do both on and off the slopes. Experience a thrilling dog sled ride, learn to ice fish with a local guide or glide down the slopes on a tube with family and friends. This resort is all about convenience, charm and diverse terrain. It's a world-class adventure destination and the slope-side pedestrian village is the highlight. You'll be delighted with the variety of charming cafés and après ski options right by the slopes and on your hotel's doorstep. The possibilities are endless! Just give us a ring to explore your options and plan your next adventure to Canada's Alpine Village.
Canada Ski Know-How
Skiing in Sun Peaks
Find out tips to help you get the most from your ski holiday in Sun Peaks
Ski Safaris
Sun Peaks' location in Interior British Columbia means it's perfect for pairing a ski holiday together with Whistler, on BC's coast. Fly into Vancouver and spend a couple of days exploring the city before driving up to Sun Peaks. Ski for a few days and then drive the scenic route to Whistler to ski Canada's biggest resort. Fly out of Vancouver.
Ski-in, ski-out
The Sun Peaks village is pedestrianised and most accommodation is ski-in, ski-out. It couldn't be handier!
Ski with Nancy Greene
Ski for free with Nancy Greene (former Olympian, Canada’s Female Athlete of the 20th Century and a senator) on weekends at 1pm.
On-Mountain Dining
The Sunburst Lodge is located at the mid-mountain, with fantastic views, a tasty breakfast menu, and a quick serve pasta lunch.
The Best Apres
Bottoms Bar & Grill is one of the most lively après bars on the mountain. Masa's Bar & Grill also has a great choice of draught beer!
The Best Runs
Experts should check out the super steep and speedy Chief, Expo and Challenger runs on Tod Mountain under the Burfield Chairlift. Headwalls on Tod is the location for the FIS World Cup Speed Skiing event. Cahilty is a more challenging green run for improvers. The winding Holy Cow trail on Morrisey is the best for Nordic skiers.
