Day 1 Arrive in Calgary
Welcome to Calgary “The Heart of the New West.” On arrival transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Settle in and enjoy the beautiful landscapes, picturesque skylines and urban vibrancy of this dynamic city. Overnight in Calgary
Day 2 - 3 Calgary to Banff
Making your way along the Trans-Canada Highway to Banff will take you through the beautiful Kananaskis region prior to the soaring Rocky Mountains coming into view. Enjoy the next 2 days exploring this beautiful mountain town with her peaks soaring above. Relax in the Hot Springs or head up Sulphur Mountain on a scenic gondola ride to enjoy incredible views. If you would like an authentic Western Canada experience why not book a Cowboy Cookout for a horse or wagon ride in the evening prior to a hearty meal.
Day 4 Banff to Lake Louise
Your scheduled transfer will take you to Lake Louise and probably one of the most famous lakes in the world. Explore this little mountain village packing a huge punch when it comes to the scenery she offers. Day 5 Rocky Mountaineer Lake Louise to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Lake Louise on a journey to Kamloops in the in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. The journey will travel between glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels. Todays’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie – where the last spoke of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Day 6 Rocky Mountaineer Kamloops to Vancouver
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today's journey guests will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Day 7-8 Vancouver
You can enjoy a relaxing walk or cycle around the seawall of Stanley Park or go deeper into the park and visit the colourful First nation totem poles and the Lost lagoon. Day 9 Alaska Cruise
Arrive at the cruise terminal in Vancouver's wonderful Canada Place. Check in to your Cunard stateroom for the next 11 days at sea on a journey of discovery to Alaska.
Day 10 Cruising the Inside Passage
The Inside Passage is an enchanting scenic waterway stretching from Vancouver all the way up to Alaska, including some of Alaska's beautiful islands that you will see along the way.
Day 11 Ketchikan, Alaska
Circled by lush green landscape and with evergreen mountains sprouting out of the waters, the surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful due to the abundant rainfall of the rainforest environment. Explore the historical town.
Day 12 Sitka, Alaska
This hidden beauty on the west shore of Baranof Island is stepped in Russian heritage. Sitka's National Historical Park is the oldest National Park in Alaska and this makes for an extraordinary visit.
Day 13 Hubbard Glacier
Witness this magnificent natural beauty up close as you sail by this glacial wonder with its thundering calving that make towering icebergs that can be 3-4 stories in height.
Day 14 Juneau, Alaska
Home of one of the largest wilderness areas in the United States it is abundant with wildlife, including orca and humpback. Explore glaciers including the mighty Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau's most accessible glacier.
Day 15 Skagway, Alaska
Skagway is the gateway town to the Klondike, offering the White Summit Pass and the cable Yukon Suspension Bridge as its biggest attractions. Skagway’s gold rush era buildings are part of the National Klondike Historical Park and among the most photographed in Alaska. Visit the towns famous Red Onion Saloon for food as well as their on-site museum.
Day 16 Glacier Bay
You will never forget the sound of the glaciers calving as it sends a hush through the whole ship and you take in the enormous cliff-flanked fjords and remarkable wilderness. Enjoy a day of cruising through Glacier Bay which is a wildlife lover’s dream with humpback and killer whales breaching the water below.
Day 17 At Sea
Returning back to the Canadian waters you will cruise the scenic Inside Passage again and keep your eyes peeled for the enchanting wildlife that call this coastline home.
Day 18 Victoria
The capital of British Columbia possesses a unique blend of historic charm and contemporary charisma. there is ample opportunity for whale watching and wildlife viewing.
Day 19 Fly from Vancouver
Your cruise arrives back into port in the early morning, giving you time for a last whip around the shops in Vancouver, or a final afternoon in the sunshine by English Bay before you make your way to the airport for your return flight home.
ESTA online application for entry to the USA
Important: All cruise passengers must complete the online Visa Waiver form by visiting https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov which is needed for entry into the US at a cost of $21 per person.
You must complete an ESTA application at least 72 hours before flying. Any traveller who fails to complete an ESTA application at least 3 days before departure will almost certainly be refused entry into the country under new US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. If you are even considering visiting the States, it's worth filling out an ESTA application now as they are valid for two years.Important: If you are refused entry because you do not hold the correct travel documents or have had your application for ESTA rejected - you will NOT be entitled to any form of refund or covered by your travel insurance policy.
