Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Calgary
Arrive in Calgary and spend the rest of the day sightseeing in “The Heart of the New West” independently. Overnight in Calgary.
Day 2 Calgary to Banff
Depart Calgary this morning for a full-day tour concluding in Banff. Journey to Banff where you will enjoy a spectacular boat cruise on Lake Minnewanka. Continue on to a sightseeing tour including Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola included. Your tour ends on arrival in Banff late this afternoon
Day 3 Banff
Enjoy the day with free time to relax or book your own activities at your leisure. Banff has activities for all, from taking the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, relaxing in the Banff hot springs, exploring the bustling town, to outdoor wildlife adventures.
Day 4 Banff to Jasper
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff and Jasper National Parks via Lake Louise and the Icefields Parkway. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Arrive in Jasper late this afternoon
Day 5 Jasper
Enjoy the day with free time to relax or book your own activities at your leisure. The resort town of Jasper and the surrounding national park offer various activities from relaxation to adventure
Day 6 Rocky Mountaineer Jasper to Kamloops
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Jasper Station. Today you will travel from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops.
Day 7 Rocky Mountaineer Kamloops to Vancouver
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station. On today’s journey west, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains. Your rail journey ends this evening upon arrival in Vancouver.
Day 8 Vancouver - Board the Alaska Cruise
Arrive at the cruise terminal in Vancouver's wonderful Canada Palace. Check in to your stateroom for the next 7 days at sea on a journey of discovery to Alaska.
Day 9 Cruising the Inside Passage
The Inside Passage is an enchanting scenic waterway stretching from Vancouver all the way up to Alaska, including some of Alaska's beautiful islands that you will see along the way.
Day 10 Tracy Arm en route to Juneau, Alaska
Today you will cruise along Tracy Arm where you will see the majestic Sawyer Glacier. You continue south east to onto Juneau, Alaska's capital city where you will enjoy your first stop.
Day 11 Skagway, Alaska
Known as the best preserved Gold Rush town, Skagway is a very historical town with so much history and local charm to discover. Spend the day discovering the enchanting Gold Rush story and visiting the wonderful historical buildings that the gold prospectors built.
Day 12 Glacier Bay
You will never forget the sound of the glaciers calving as it sends a hush through the whole ship and you take in the enormous cliff-flanked fjords and remarkable wilderness. Enjoy a day of cruising through Glacier Bay which is a wildlife lover’s dream with humpback and killer whales breaching the water below.
Day 13 Ketchikan, Alaska
Circled by lush green landscape and with evergreen mountains sprouting out of the waters, the surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful due to the abundant rainfall of the rainforest environment. Explore the historical town.
Day 14 Cruising the Inside Passage
Returning back to the city you will cruise the scenic Inside Passage again and keep your eyes peeled for the enchanting wildlife that call this coastline home.
Day 15 Fly from Vancouver to London
Your cruise arrives back into port in the early morning, giving you time for a last whip around the shops in Vancouver, or a final afternoon in the sunshine by English Bay before you make your way to the airport for your return flight home.
ESTA online application for entry to the USA
Important: All cruise passengers must complete the online Visa Waiver form by visiting https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov which is needed for entry into the US at a cost of $21 per person.
You must complete an ESTA application at least 72 hours before flying. Any traveller who fails to complete an ESTA application at least 3 days before departure will almost certainly be refused entry into the country under new US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. If you are even considering visiting the States, it's worth filling out an ESTA application now as they are valid for two years. Important: If you are refused entry because you do not hold the correct travel documents or have had your application for ESTA rejected - you will NOT be entitled to any form of refund or covered by your travel insurance policy.
