Itinerary
Day 1 Montreal
Your winter holiday starts as you fly into Montreal and make you way to your hotel for the next 2 nights. Montreal is a true winter wonderland as chilly frost coats bistro windows and powdery snow gives the old town cobbled streets and gabled roofs a sugary coating. Put on your warm coat and spend the day exploring.
Day 2 Montreal
Locals will tell you that Montreal can be just as busy in the height of winter as it is in mid July and it is easy to see why with so much going on. There are not many places where you can cross-country ski, ice skate, snowshoe or even ice fish, all within the city limits. Then there are all of the winter festivals and underground shopping, if you have had enough of the cold.
Day 3 Montreal – Quebec City
Collect your car and make the short drive from Montreal to the beautiful Quebec City. A picture postcard at the best of times but a dusting of snow makes everything truly special. Whilst the days are shorter, this just provides an excuse to hang hundreds of lights that twinkle in every shop, restaurant and door way adding further to the magical atmosphere.
Day 4 Ice hotel or Quebec City
Spend tonight at the one-of-a-kind in North America, Ice Hotel, where you can sip a cocktail at -5°c from an ice glass and enjoy a cozy nights in a room made entirely of ice. The Ice hotel is perfect for a wintry romantic retreat or for that once in a lifetime experience (Ice hotel available from 02 Jan – 12 Mar only, all other dates include an extra night in Quebec City).

Leaving the Ice hotel, and Quebec City behind, head for the Mastigouche wildlife preserve and the enchanting, Hotel Sacacomie. This log built lodge stands in the heart of the forest but remains accessible at all times of year. With nature on your door step, good food in abundance and a fabulous spa, including heated outdoor hot tubs, you will wish you had discovered this gem sooner.
Day 6 Hotel Sacacomie
Spend today taking full advantage of the wealth of activities that are on offer at the hotel Sacacomie. Snowshoe or cross country ski the many hiking trails, ice skate on the frozen lake or try your hand at dog sledding, the hotel has over 125 huskies and Malamutes. If you just want to relax during your stay, the GEOS Spa offers a whole host of treatments along with breathtaking views of the lake.

Day 8 Montreal
Your visit to the winter wonderland of Quebec is almost over, with enough time to pick up those last memories before heading to the airport for your journey home.
