In the area
The hotel is located at the top of the pretty Petit Champlain district, and historic Old Quebec. After enjoying the views from Dufferin Terrace, head down the funicular railway or the famous Breakneck Steps and wander through one of the oldest sections of the city, crammed with art galleries, antique shops, farmers’ market and the fascinating Musee de la Civilisation.
Take a ferry from the old port to Lévis on the other side of the St Lawrence River and back, for a fantastic view of the city and indeed the impressive building of the Fairmont Hotel on the hill.
