Air Transat operate Airbus A330 and A310 aircraft on flights to Canada. All of their fleet have two cabin options: Economy and Club Class (a Premium Economy product), including luxury leather seats throughout the cabin making your flight to Canada even more comfortable.

Air Transat have just begun a two year refurbishment programme of their Airbus aircraft, which includes a new level of in-flight comfort, entertainment, ambience and service, making your journey onboard your flight to Canada even more enjoyable.

In-Flight Entertainment

The in-flight entertainment changes each month, and includes recent movies, short programmes and a selection of audio channels. This selection is suitable for a wide range of age groups and interests, and offers entertainment options throughout your Canada flight.

On board your flight to Canada, you can also use hand-held games machines such as PSPs and Gameboys, as well as use laptop computers and listen to portable music systems such as iPods and portable CD players, as well as watching your own portable DVD players with headphones.

The crew will advise when these portable devices are not to be used (such as during take-off and landing) during your flight to Canada, and we would ask that the volume does not disturb surrounding passengers.

Cashless onboard

Air Transat will only accept credit card for onboard transactions. Passengers on Canada flights will be required to use a credit card for all purchases, including snacks and beverages, duty free items, comfort kits, and so on.

This decision was made to enhance the customer experience, as it speeds up service and gives the cabin crew more time to spend with passengers. The initiative will also facilitate onboard transactions and provide better sales and inventory control, while allowing customers to conserve cash for other uses, such as ground transportation.

Going cashless makes sense in today's technology-friendly environment and has been deployed with great success on an increasing number of airlines. It should be noted that, unlike many other airlines, Air Transat offers complimentary food and beverages on most of our flights to Canada.

In addition, customers are encouraged to pre-order duty free via our website. These factors significantly reduce the risk of inconvenience for passengers not having a credit card onboard. Air Transat is working on alternative payment options for these special cases.

Food & Drink

Economy Class and Option Plus passengers on transatlantic flights can enjoy our Bistro! menu’s tasty new options, available free of charge. This will include a choice of hot meals served with salad, sweet treat and glass of wine.

If you wish to enhance your in flight experience, you can also choose to purchase one of our gourmet meals by top chef Daniel Vézina. Passengers can pre-order their meals between 45 days and 48 hours before departure. You can do so by phone or email. There is an additional £15 charge for a Daniel Vézina chef-prepared meal.
